Day5 - Rönkönvaara to Kalajoki

After a large breakfast, an active morning starts. Eric shows Miji his fish-trap and later teaches Isabel how to kayak. There is a lot to discover! But the 444km of road ahead of us forces us to say good-bye to our generous friends and leave this peaceful place.

We take off and drive through more woods along many lakes and moose signs and finally arrive in Kalajoki.
The Santaholma-Chatzichrisafis family spots our arrival and indicates us where Marja and Heikki’s home is  - after having stopped in front of their neighbours’ house (again).

We are warmly welcomed with more Finnish activities. Miji enjoys professional cutting wood lessons from Heikki and appreciates some good exercise while the others drink beer and watch (apparently also Finnish tradition).

The place is beautiful, in their backyard we see a lot of wildlife, but still no moose… we start to think that moose is an imaginary animal…
